Nature's Best Dog Food

Nature's Best Dog Food

This past Tuesday while walking to work across the street from Bryant Park,  I received a free gift on the corner of 42nd and 6th ave… and no it wasn’t a cab driver yelling at me to “get outa the way”  it was actually something nice.  I was asked dog or cat and when I replied dog I was given a free sample of Nature’s Best dog food along with a $3.00 coupon off of a future purchase.

Now if that doesn’t make you want to pack up your things and move to NYC then the ending to my story just might.  As I was standing on the corner there waiting for my friend, the fashion editor for GLAMOUR Mag was walking straight towards me… and as I am sure she does to many passersby while walking across from Bryant Park, she looked me UP AND DOWN.  Then as she got close, without even missing a step she blurted out cute outfit!  Wow!!!! I got “the look” and approval from the fashion editor of GLAMOUR.  Now I know its not VOGUE or anything, but still I was pretty excited 🙂

Frankie C. wearing his "Pet Angel" tag

No story is more whimsical than one that finds you stumbling upon a Message in a Bottle. And believe it or not, that’s exactly what happened to me last week. I  was walking down the Jersey Shores and out from the Atlantic a bottle rolled to my feet… well it didn’t exactly happen that way.  I wasn’t exactly on the beach… and I didn’t exactly find a message in a bottle floating in the ocean, but I did experience a “Happily Ever After” ending none the less.

While searching Etsy.com (I love this site, incase you haven’t noticed) I came across Onyx Angel Designs and fell in love with her personalized “Pet Angel” name tags.  I had to order one for Frankie, which is exactly what I did. Returning from Boston last night I was pleasantly surprised to find my “message in a bottle” waiting for me… I mean for Frankie.

Check out the pics of Frankie modeling his truly “unique and whimsical” name tag.  Both Frankie and I highly recommended Onyx Angel Designs.  Your little “Pet Angel” is sure to feel pUPscale with one of Jennifer’s personalized name tags.

The best part is that Jennifer’s prices are amazing. The tag I ordered was under $5!!!!  If that’s not enough to send you her way, she also offers unique jewelry for pUPscale owners as well.  I think this might be my next purchase, although I wouldn’t mind a pink and purple tiara as well. 🙂

In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.

Gabrielle Coco Chanel

Here at pUPscale we couldn’t agree more with Miss Chanel and with a vintage collar your pUP is sure to be the talk of the dog park for weeks to come.  I came across this absolutely beautiful sea foam green, rhinestone encrusted vintage dog collar over at etsy.com and thought I would share it with you. You check out the listing, click on the picture above.

Vintage has become very popular in the recent years, and why should the pUPs not join in on the fun.  Treat your pUP to something unique, something that no other pUP will have.  Go ahead, show your pUP just how special they are.

*Random Bit of Information: CoCo was a nickname given to Gabrielle Chanel during a Cabaret performance, meaning “little pet”…how appropriate for a pUPscale blog 🙂

Decorate in pUPscale style!

Parisienne Acec Chien $799

Who doesn’t love a work of art?

I for one am still in the process of decorating my New York apartment, so naturally I turned to Etsy.com for something special and unique.  To my delightful surprise I came across some amazing pieces of art that truly represent the pUPscale life.

Above is a gorgeous selection from GinetteCreations. This is an original watercolor and ink painting created on Canson Acid Free Watercolor Paper.

Everything about this painting is perfect to me. I can imagine it now hanging on my wall blending beautifully with the colors of my boudoir.

Here are a few other great pieces that I came across (ones with a more attainable price tag)…

Enjoy!

Greyhound in the park- original ink sketch $40, Lavatican

Retro Shopper with Companion I, $20 Sandy Klotter

Paris Morning Ride, Vintageowl $35

Certainly inspires me to work on a few of my own 😉

"Train"

Featured pUP: Train

Hometown: St. Petersburg, Florida (currently residing in Lake Worth, Florida)

Lifestyle: Retired racer… now a 40 mph couch potato 🙂

pUPscoop: (Submited by Train himself) I lived at a kennel for 5 years while I was used for racing. I ran in 113 races and, placing 1st over a dozen times. In my past life I was known as  “ItsAfreightTrain” but now I go by Train. After my retirement in ’07, my Mom adopted me through the Greyhound Pets of America organization in Pinellas County. I was very excited to meet her for the 1st time and made sure she noticed me through the 30 other dogs wanting to go home with her. I’ve adjusted very well to my home life and am so excited to have such an eclectic group of brothers and sisters (1 dog brother, 1 cat brother and 2 cat sisters). My Husky brother, Jake, has made sure I found my way around during my 1st few weeks in my new home. I love to snuggle but I especially love to act silly………it makes my Mom and Dad laugh every time! I never knew how “greyt” having a real home would be and can only wish that my other Grey friends at the kennel find the same kind of loving home I did.

Have a GREYT day!

If you think your pup should be featured in “Lifestyles of the pUPscale and famous” email me a pic along with a short story including your pUP’s name, hometown and the pUPscoop on how they are livin’ the pUPscale life.  We might just feature you! Email all info to pupscale@gmail.com

Until next time…

Lots of Kisses,

fc²
